The jobs girls do and the clothes they wear these days

POLICEWOMEN

Well Hello!
They look like characters that just tore themselves out of a Marvel Comic or an action flick, but no, this is as real as it gets.
It may not be incredulous to see a woman wrapped in Kevlar armour and with her pretty face hidden by a vision enhancing visor anymore, but even if it is, it will always remain to be a refreshing sight.

Pretty Women
Born smack on the Equator with pleasant demeanours and splendid complexions, these women are forged and moulded by the heat of a melting equatorial sun.

To Imagine Their Colour
They possess a subtle and unique shade of the colour brown with each wearing one varying in intensity.
To best describe their complexions is to simply imagine a thin ceaseless flow of fresh latte being piped into a steaming cup of fresh black coffee simultaneously being swirled with a tea spoon; an action displaying the varying degrees of brown, begining from an intense colour of coffee to it's  lightest shade, impressing a fine chocolate rainbow onto your mind through the eyes.

Adding, even more splendour to their colour, they take time to spread a ply of piercing red lip gloss, a little rouge to rose their cheeks and powder puff their pretty faces to mostly counter perspiration which is all done during their tight and unscheduled vanity breaks.

If Clothes could help you not get killed
Living in a land where mercury rises considerably to measure a scorching sun, making such robust body gear not quite weather friendly. The design focuses on protection and not so much for comfort, but these policewomen brave it and roast themselves in an ensemble encompassing their fragile bodies and gadgetry of sophistication all day long in the call of duty.

Clothes Made From Fiction
Fiction as we know it, becomes alive and real after sometime, at least to some extent. The inventions of today are derived from the fiction of yesterday. To conceive that the reality of our world comes from fiction which was initially meant for entertainment, and then later applied into reality, is simply surreal.

Terrorism has universalised the definition of crime, making it a science of preparedness to reciprocate to security threats. It is Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for every person in the Police force to know how to respond to a threat even if they are traffic cops.

Enforcers are now clad in armour; they take painstaking measures to maintain self-preservation against the inherent hazards that come with their jobs. We now live in a world of suicide bombers and terrorists who resort to extremities to assert their demands. Anything can happen without warning and collateral damage is best controlled by being well prepared. These brands of uniforms have categorically moved away from the normal classification of police apparels and now fall under a much more specialised wardrobe that goes under the nomenclature of protective gear.

Such are the complexities in the world of pragmatism when even a simple concept such as clothing can grow to become a specialisation in tune with time.

Power to Women
Dynamism has driven women out of their homes and into the seats of new challenges to play important roles in society. The corridors of the third world with the exception of a few dogmatic ones have slowly begun to open their conservative eyes to view women as capable and competent to undertake responsibilities that were once only entrusted to only men.

Education has completely narrowed the facade of chauvinism that enslaved women to remain within the vicinity of their homes thus depriving them of intellectual status. Theirs is the world now that opportune them with a spectrum of career possibilities assured by the same unconditional freedom given to their male counterparts.

The women you see in the picture are proof of this revolution as they have not only chosen to get out and work but instead, they exhibit the sheer courage to choose careers that involve considerable risks. They have dedicated themselves to don these jet black mean looking outfits and be armed to live by the code of honour of the oath they solemnly swore to uphold. A black knight with skin and face oblivious becomes impervious to danger as neither man nor woman, but only as a custodian of the law with objectives remaining clear and imperative. They transform into an enforcer that has the similar objective with equal responsibility and can suffer the same fate or consequence that is blind to gender.

The dual roles these extraordinary women execute, alternating between home and work every day can make one imagine the degree of difficulty in psychologically managing their daily metamorphosis.

Their femininity takes lead as homemakers being children, sisters, wives, mothers or even young grandmothers and switching hats immediately as they clock in for duty to become conscientious police officers risking their lives during work. When they leave their homes, they reaffirm the risks accepting the fact of never returning home alive again, something that was religiously hardwired into their psyche at the police training academy as cadets.

Girl’s best friend
They have widened their circle of friends from just their vanity compact makeup cases to include the weapons that they carry as equally crucial allies; allies that could help save their lives and that of others. To use an automatic sidearm with great proficiency is one thing, but to treat it like an extension of one’s own body is another. Their ability to dismantle a firing arm, stripping it to its components and then assembling it to its original state blindfolded and in record time will put to rest any doubts about the marriage with their peacemakers.

Salute

Even if their feminine disposition fails to match their chosen profession and even if vanity still remains their best friend, they are considered a unique breed very much apart from other career women. These are the fine women who have begun bridging the last frontiers in the gap of the struggle for equality, which is when they choose to indulge in policing peace in a world of violence, a job that was once forbidden to them and considered as work cut out only for men.

The jobs that were once thought that could be done only by men have now become a non-existing phenomenon and the struggle for equality is now seen as slowly being archived as the history of a struggle of the past. So whatever you do, don’t let the pretty smiles fool you to take these women for granted as you may want to watch the movie ‘The Long Kiss Goodnight’ before trying to pull any pre-conditioned chauvinistic stunt.

This article is a tribute and salute to every woman. EDit.

Colours of a Peacock

Colours of a Peacock Nestled deep in an oil palm plantation in the humble town of Maran in central West Malaysia, is a century-old Hindu temple that rears peacocks. The peacock is considered sacred because mythology has it that it is the preferred mode of transportation of Lord Subramanian, who is also the patron deity of worship in the said temple. The peacock never seems to amaze me with its awesome coat of colours that it wears, especially when it fans out its feathers in a courtship ritual. What truly inspires me from this, is to appreciate the finer details of every colour application that exists around us.  There is not a single thing in nature that is off colour or coloured in bad taste, it simply means that God has coloured everything we see meticulously with perfect design and taste. We are then, only left with the task to view, appreciate, replicate and occasionally write about it in absolution. EDit. This picture was taken during a visit to Maran Maruth...

Synchronicity (Video)

Eashwer Dass Synchronicity This is an experiment of removing the original soundtrack of three different Indian classical dances and replacing it with only one randomly chosen soundtrack. The outcome is quite amazing, it is almost as if there is an auto choreographic built-in mechanism that magically synchronises the two almost perfectly. EDit.
